The minimum distance between your car and the car in front of you when you are driving is known as the safe following distance and it should be at least one car length or approximately 5 feet. This distance allows enough time and space for you to react to any sudden changes or hazards on the road. Option A (4 feet) and B (2 feet) might seem too close and can increase the risk of collision. Option C (100 feet) is too far and is not recommended as it can create a space for other vehicles to cut in between, causing you to brake suddenly. Option D (5 feet) is the ideal distance for driving safely.
